Thank you, anon 🦜! My brain has really attached itself to Wall-E recently. Somehow I always start a new fandom on my profile by writing PWP, so I figured why not do the same for Wall-E too? Auto's a great test subject.
Speaking of which, I find Auto a very interesting character to write as a not-quite-sentient AI!
Giving him sentience and exploring how he navigates those feelings is very fun for me, and I currently have two WIPs that use him heavily, one being a standalone Wall-E fic where I explore how he gets accustomed to an android body and life on Earth. The other will have CaineAM, but he will not be a part of the ship.
(Truth is, I don't have an AI I really ship with Auto. Shoving him into the CaineAM madness was fun, but not a dynamic I'd like to write too extensively about. Perhaps I should write an OC for him to be queerplatonic with? I think introducing a second of his model from another ship could be interesting. Two autopilots navigating the world together.)
((I am coping with the lack of Auto redemption. He deserved better. Don't get me started on how sad his character is, being trapped like that.))
Human Caine would enter a hotdog eating contest and come home very sick. Poor Am having to take care of him. Worth it though. He won a cool trophy!
