OK, Caine Devotees, (you can reply to or Reblog this post if you’re neutral or waffling on Caine too, I guess) what percentage blame should we assign to his flaw of self-esteem/self-perception?
People, including some of the production team, call this “ego” and. I mean. I just think that’s such a one-dimensional and connotatively negative term to use when YOUR OWN STORY derives this from what humans did to him.
The shattering blow to his self esteem.
That he tried to cobble back together by using the power that was available to him to feel secure and in charge again.
Never mind the inherent power dynamics that predispose even humans to go on power trips.
