Cadence was the second option to play Ego in Gotg2, but they decided she fit the role too well. She has an incredibly high opinion of herself, in large part due to being over-praised as a child by her parents. From practically the day she was born, Cadence has been all about performing and succeeding, practically to a fault. While she may come off as distant to her siblings even to them, she’s of the impression that criticism fosters growth, even though she herself can’t take criticism to save her life.
