Just me complaining. If you don't want to read about my chronic illness, that's perfectly okay!
So it's been almost three weeks since I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My family doctor referred me to a nerve specialist, however I have to wait until August for that appointment. I'm on a cancellation list, but I still don't like having to wait. I'm not on any medication to help with the severe nerve pain I have, except for a muscle relaxer before bed.

idk just spitballing on how s2 could have been less uncomfortable/disjointed
Main goals: giving the central conflict some connection to history and/or music, leveling out Wagner bias
The partisan option: Add Brahms, turn the plot into basically war of the romantics (maybe even involuntarily pitting Mozart and Beethoven against each other) to make the central conflict more of a 'both sides' thing. Everyone forgiving Wagner and being buddy-buddy with him stings less if the conflict has historical basis and he actually has things to both apologize and be apologized for.
The pagliacci option: give up on making Wagner sympathetic and turn him into another joke. Bring his actual plagiarism to light and emphasize his petty tendencies more. Comes with Wagner deshotafication due to most of the main CL cast being grown ass men and also Wagner having to run pyramid scams. This, ironically, will make him more endearing than the actual Wagnerloid because the narrative will treat him with the appropriate amount of sympathy which is ☆none☆. He's probably going to help everyone against some external threat in the finale but 'only to prove how great I am' or something.
The replacement option: Keep the storyline mostly the same but replace Wagner with a more sympathetic composer. I personally suggest Hans Rott - He's extremely obscure but 1) my bsky moot likes him and 2) the IRL obscurity works in his favor by explaining his insecurity of being 'botched' and desire for fame. Unfortunately Hans Rott doesn't lend himself well to jokes, but even the OG Wagner was more unpleasant and uncomfortable than funny due to the heavy revisionism anyway.
The flamingo behind the curtain option: This is more serious AU material than a rewrite but keeping it here for further reference. Addition to the above option where Wagner is the animal. Using Rott and his human body to get what he wants, Wagner manipulates him saying he will always be the superior composer and it is a glory for an obscure composer like you to have the opportunity to serve a genius. Maybe a bit too dark for CL but I am literally imagining Wagner doing all this as a pink flamingo, he has moments of pettier/funnier villainy to make up for it, and I think an ending where Wagner is blasted and Rott is finally accepted as being just as valid of a composer as Bach, Beethoven, etc is way less dark or uncomfortable than one where everyone loves Wagner for no reason.
One thing about SMTV I'm not a fan of is how little we actually see of Aogami.
This dude is part-fiend, part-robot, a piece of a god, manufactured, and just got out of a coma. And we just. Don't really get to see his reaction to a n y of that. Nothing! Not a thing about Koshimizu's reveal, either!!
Its also left a weird gap in fan media with him, too. Outside of a few scenarios there aren't any portrayels or povs of him.
Like. How does he feel about being parts of a god? Does he feel anything about literally being mass-produced by Bethel? Do emotions come naturally to him? What ending does he want, can he even allow himself to want it? Does he feel supported by Kei, how so?
The protag is strange but his proto-fiend stranger. Weirdos united
I liked it a lot, but there were a few minor things that irked me. Looking back on it today, one of them was Steven visiting the Diamonds, particularly White Diamond.
To be clear, I like most of the episode. What bugs me in retrospect is White's apparent obliviousness to Steven's discomfort around her.
White Diamond, who can read minds. White Diamond, who's climactic scene involved possessing the crystal gems and reading them all to filth, despite having never most meeting them directly.
You're telling me that White Diamond can't tell that Steven is uncomfortable around her? Or that even if she did, she'd act like nothing is wrong? That she'd pretend, without any awkwardness, that everything is fine? That it wouldn't get to her that there was something very obvious to her that she hasn't been able to fix?
Personally, I would have loved to see a bit of an awkward silence after Spinel left the room.
Her acting silly with Spinel was great, and it made sense for them. They'd both done wrong to other people, but not to eachother. They got to start with a clean slate after White changed her mind, and was more open to having more pink in her life.
But once she'd left? It would have been nice to see White kind of match Steven's energy. She almost killed him, and tossed aside his human body like he was nothing to her. They both know this.
White adores him now, just as much as the other Diamonds, but she crossed a line. All of the Diamonds did, but she went the furthest too far.
It would've been nice to see her, clearly happy to see Steven, but surpirsed. Maybe a bit cautious, afraid she'll overstep again with him. Maybe with Steven, out of habit, trying to assure her she's fine and he's fine, and everything is fine. He just needs a little help with his Diamond powers.
And they both know he's lying about being ok, but she wants to help anyway.
And then the rest of the episode plays out as it did before.

I’m pondering if I should buy a paperlike screen protector for my iPad. Do you guys have any tips or warnings about it? I’d love to have more texture cuz it took me a while to get used to the smooth screen, but I’m worried it’ll eat up my pen tip, and I don’t wanna add even more costs on top of that.
Do u guys have any tips? Are paperlike covers worth it? And what about metal tips for the Apple Pencil? I am worried about my tips #mytips
I need a fic with rockstar!Eddie being in love with the idea of tumblr and loving all the fanfic about the band, etc. And then his husband Steve (who is just some guy) somehow getting spotted by fans and all of a sudden there’s fanfic about Eddie and this random guy who keeps showing up in Corroded Coffin photos (we all know those two would be beyond co-dependent) and instead of thinking it’s weird he and Steve just start sending them back and forth. And like obviously they send the cute ones, but then Steve will wake up to a text from Eddie at 2 am and it will just be a link to the raunchiest fic he’s ever seen and then once he reads it he texts back his opinion (something like “why are your fans obsessed with the idea of you being the bitchy one, I didn’t spend years being a mean girl just to be disrespected like this”)
