It’s styled in that way where it looks amazing in photos and in the background of his vlogs, but the decorations and furnishings are so carefully chosen and placed that it doesn’t look like anyone actually lives there. Think pictures like this or this. Aiolos likes to joke that the reason Vel’s hive is so spotless is because if dust or other signs of life tried to settle for more than a couple hours he’d make it pay rent.
His workspace for all his fashion design stuff, however, is a completely different story. There’s a good reason why he’d never show the upstairs part of his apartment if he were to post a hive tour video.

1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?
The first thing I had for her was the music that keeps her heart going. The curse she has, and the music she made, were the first things I had down for her and made up like 90% of her early character.
3. How did you choose their name?
I have two methods for choosing names really. Either it’s sounding out things and slowly developing a name from that, or it’s a reference to something that has to do with the character. Like an animal or something. Averyn was one of the ‘Make word sounds and turn it into a name.
