Business Card Layout
One of the most important things to consider when creating a business card is the layout. Above a clear set of wireframes that I came across, I intend to do the same when creating my own business card layout.

Talking Business
One of the things I started to look at was how I would get clients to remember me, the first thing that came to mind was business cards. I have started to look at business cards from all different types of businesses. Above is just some of the business cards that I looked at, I intend to still have my personality on the card with the main emphasis being making the card clean and minimal.

More Guidelines
Above are few more different guidelines that I came across when researching for my brand guidelines/style guide.
Connexxion connection
After looking at a range of different styles of branding, I came across Connexxion in American Trademark Designs. Connexxion is a public transport business that have a very good thought though brand.
The logo of their brand is consisted in all aspects of their products and brand. The two x's are used as arrows showing the transport of getting people to and from places. The x's are also connected though the use of the name of the brand.
The wordmark has replaced the c and t to the two x's of the logo. This continues the connection behind the as the logo used the x's on a plat of words as it sounds the same.
The interior of connection's public transport also contains the logo as a pattern has been created to be put on their seats. The pattern is discrete and appealing but once noticed the logo is unseeable.
Overall Connexxion has a brand that truly has connected their branding throughout all aspects of their products keeping their brand and clients connected from start to finish.

Brand Colours
As I am looking at my brand and possible colour palette, I researched other different businesses and the colour palettes that they used. I purposely researched different businesses to see if colour palettes ranged to the business using it. Once of the things I found was the formal businesses such as law firms used grey, greens and blues quite often whereas more bright colours where used for more friendly and informal businesses. I intend to get a even balance of friendliness and warmth but also professionalism.
Closer to Colour
After looking at colour palettes both online and in the American Trademarks Designs, I then started to look at my own branding colour palette. I used Adobe Color and decided that I wanted a shade of either purple or blue as my main colour. I then created a series of monochromatic colour palettes around the blue and purple. Above are the different monochromatic palettes that I created in Adobe Color.
Deciding a Colour Pallette
Having previously looked at colour for other tasks, I was aware of the different styles that colour can be used. I then looked back at one of the books I previously took out of the library called American Trademark Designs.
In this book contained a section of different colour shade palettes that have been used successful throughout time in American trademarks. This has really helped me in my search to find a suitable colour pallette for my branding.
