To value biological wealth is to generate awareness. Knowing the richness of the biodiversity of the place that is our home, is the first step to be able to value the environment. Together with @proyectocam , we made an ethnobotanical walk along a path adjacent to the Cabo Blanco Absolute Reserve. Stefano Silvestri, a local expert, guided us with great passion on a 4 km journey through the tropical forest where we learned about native plants and how their medicinal properties are used. We learned a lot! To value ethnobotanical diversity is to generate awareness. We go up and down Bamboo steps down the path until we reach the viewpoint. At the top, we take a break to observe birds and the beauty of the landscape of Malpaís. With these activities the young people of our community learn the value of conserving the richness of the unique ecosystem that we have in the southern part of the Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica Valorar la riqueza biológica es generar conciencia. Conocer la riqueza de la biodiversidad del lugar que es nuestra casa, es el primer paso para poder valorar el medioambiente. Junto con Proyecto Cam, realizamos una caminata etnobotánica por un sendero contiguo al la Reserva Absoluta Cabo Blanco. Stefano Silvestri experto local, nos guió con gran pasión en un recorrido de 4 km el bosque tropical donde aprendimos sobre plantas autóctonas y cómo se utilizan sus propiedades medicinales. Aprendimos muchísimo!! Valorar la diversidad etnobotánica es generar conciencia. Subimos y bajamos escalones de Bamboo por el sendero hasta llegar al mirador. En lo más alto, nos tomamos un descanso para observar aves y la belleza del paisaje de Malpaís.
