Part 9 @ultra.caballo.blanco I’m beyond grateful that I had the opportunity and funds to experience @ultra.caballo.blanco . I had my doubts to finish with the cut off time and really no training. I could not let go this opportunity! The mind and body are so powerful that even when we think we are at our weakest, we are strong. I had prepared myself to give it all and let it be. Super happy when I finished and saw my buddy @sorianamaskar 💕🙌🏾 🤗 Medal and shirt pics. Along with a few items I bought. I Loved the handmade earrings. A few pics I grabbed from our group. There was 17 in our weekend travel group and all amazing runners. Monday driving back we stopped to have lunch and a group pic was taken 🙂 The sandal pic, those are made of tires and leather string. Part 8 @ultra.caballo.blanco Race Day, how téchnical was the course? Here’s a sample of the course. 🙂⛰ This was the toughest marathon I’ve done. Even when I have been at my best shape running I would say the same. It was not all tough, def several areas, specifically the climb of 6 miles uphill over rough, rocky terrain. After that section several ppl DNF’d and they were trucked down. You know your gurl is burra and will keep going until I drop/pass out 😂 Don’t care if I’m last 🤷🏿‍♀️ First pic is Lorena, there is a documentary in Netflix I recommend to see if haven’t. She’s an amazing runner and took second place in the 80K. Aside a#g#how technical it may have been it was so freaking beautiful and scenic. Part 7 @ultra.caballo.blanco Race day! All week I was anxious 😬 bc the last distance I did was 13.1, since pandemic and to now do a 42K … with little to no training 🙈 I fell off my wagon and was hoping this race would get me back on track. It did bring my “mojo” back to running. 🙌🏾 @sorianamaskar stayed with me the first 9 miles. Thank you! Forever grateful 😍 Those first 9 miles were so beautiful 🏔 The colorful church is where we got our 2nd bracelet as proof we did the distance. There were four bracelets to obtain. Last Pic is “Pinole” corn drink at the aid station. This one was mix with water. I tried 3 of them and all 3 taste different to me with the corn essence . We had it nice with several aid stations. Shot out who coordinated the aid stations 🙌🏾 I came prepared but did not have to use much of my stuff. Part 4 @ultra.caballo.blanco Saturday the little “caballitos “ run was held for the little ones. We ate at one of Caballo’s Blanco favorite place to eat. They had some of his memorabilia.
