“Woah, woah, wait, we didn’t agree on this for Lucille, Elgin,” Hope said, slightly anxiously. “She’s still too young. I can only do so much with her.”

“So I’m off for a few days because I got burned by one of the dragons,” he told his brother. “Before you ask, don’t go looking far into it, I’m fine. I figured since I have a bunch of time, I can come and see my favorite niece, who’s getting far too big, far too quickly.”

“Do you think alcohol tastes different as you keep drinking it, or is that because you’re too drunk to realize you’re still drinking it?”

“Wow, I’m surprised that you left your baby to come,” Hope said. “Find a good babysitter?”

“How do I nicely tell our brother to stop worrying over me drinking,” Cole said to Elgin as he took a sip of his drink. “It’s not like I’m not allowed to drink.”
