NGC 4372, C108 // Claudio Tenreiro
A globular cluster in a misty region, NGC 4372 is located about 18,900 light years away in the constellation of Musca, the Fly. It was discovered in 1826 by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop (1793-1848). NGC 4372 contains many blue stragglers, stars that appear younger than their surrounding stellar populations, likely as a result of collisions between stars. It is best seen in the autumn of the southern hemisphere.
