SO that Ushioi art I just reblogged made me start thinking about the relationship between Oikawa and Ushijima and I just started thinking like what if when they finally retire from playing volleyball and they all move back to Japan and through some divine intervention Oikawa runs into Ushijima and has to deal with him as some sort of daily/ at least weekly thing idk like a club or something for the retirees idk but he has to keep seeing him and he’s SO ANNOYED about it but Ushijima ofc is just like “hey long time no see how are you” and Oikawa immediately just “what was that?? I think I heard someone talking to me just now” but after a while he gradually starts talking to Ushijima more and more even tho for the first few months it was just sarcastic responses and rudeness but ushi didn’t mind bc that’s how oikawas always been but eventually they start getting like actually closer and Oikawa doesn’t even realize it until one day they’re hanging out at one of their apartments and Oikawa just has a moment where he pauses and goes “oh my god we’re friends?” And ushi is just like 😐 “yes I believe so” and they end up becoming besties yeah thanks for coming to my HQ talk
