yesterday night, c.ree and reanne estrada talked about their past and ongoing work and pink factory, their dream trade and the activities of the international hongcheon fan club, at RAT school of ART. Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion, as well as to Mijoo Park and Dirk Fleischmann of RAT for having us!

artists c. ree and reanne estrada, resident artists of regional culture space “pink factory” in 2015, have returned to hongcheon, gangwon-do this year. at rat school of art, they will speak about their work during their two residencies at pink factory and their upcoming exhibition “glutinous (uv) transmissions from the hongcheon international fan club” at the hongcheon art museum (opening: july 9). part performance, part public experiment, ree and estrada’s works at pink factory explore “unofficial” and popular everyday knowledge systems against a backdrop of “intangible assets,” heritage preservation, and city/regional “branding.”

5월 27일 아침에 이C.와 레안 에스트라다는 작업계획을 깜작 놀라운 홍천군 군수님께 보여줬습니다. 이 공공미술 프로젝트에 꼭 도와준다고 하면서 작가들(그리고 분홍공장 대표, 큐레이터)한테 홍천 머루와인 한병씩 선물로 주셨어요. @홍천군청 on may 27, c.ree and reanne estrada presented their plans for the pink factory exhibition (opening july 9) to the amazed mayor of hongcheon county. the mayor promised to help with their public art projects and each one of the artists (as well as pink factory's director and curator) received a bottle of original hongcheon wine as a present. @hongcheon county office

also, reanne estrada and c.ree, two artists who pink factory fans of the first hour might still remember from last year (fresh up your memories with this video), are back again! (here with pink factory director yong hae sook) this time, they will prepare a double-show which will open at the hongcheon museum of art on july 9th - save the day!
