Chloe woke up to the feeling of wet sandpaper on her toes, “Orion,” she groaned softly. She let out a breath, wanting to go back to sleep. When she opened her eyes and saw the sun shine through Noah’s bedroom, she knew that wouldn’t happen. She sighed, as her eyes landed on Noah. She’d woken up to this face many times over the last few months. Too many to count. This week, she’d somehow stayed over four nights... in a row. She gently got up from the bed in one of his t-shirts and went to the bathroom. As she looked herself in the mirror she thought to herself. ‘Who spends four nights in a row with someone you’re hooking up with?’ She walked back to the bedroom and wondered if that was all Noah really was. Yes, it was. It’s all it had to be. In the last four months, she was able to see the sweet and perfect person, one she didn’t deserve which is why she knew this had an expiration date. 

Chloe shook the thought out of her mind and went to refill Orion’s water bowl, give him his breakfast while also setting getting coffee ready. She’s made herself quite comfortable here. Whenever she stayed over, she and Orion had their morning routine while Noah slept. As she sat down, the dog came up to her for their morning cuddles. “Hey buddy, how did you sleep huh?” When the coffee was ready, she made herself and Noah a cup before walking back to the bedroom. She placed the mugs on the nightstand before crawling back into bed. She might not have him long-term but that didn’t mean she couldn’t at least pretend now. “Noah” She whispered as she kissed his cheeks and his neck when she heard a sign of life, she chuckled. “Good morning.” 

Last night was a disaster. Why Chloe was coming back to Noah’s shop, she didn’t really know. She should just let it go, she shouldn’t have let it bother her, but it did. She was embarrassed, and she needed to prove that she wasn’t the person he thought she was. She wasn’t mean, she wasn’t trying to use him like a sex toy, I mean yes, she’d wanted to start a thing with him, but not in the way he made it out to be. She pulled the door open with a drink she thinks she remembers him liking, and a treat. Just like yesterday, he was hunched over his drawing. “Hey,” She spoke softly, this time not wanting to spook him. “I come in peace.” She paused with a small smile, “And treats.” She walked over to his area, “Is it okay to put down here?” 

Chloe was honestly sick of boys pretending to be men, and that’s the exactly how she would describe her last boyfriend. She was sick of it, and she was honestly just done talking. She wanted to be with someone and not talk. As she came to this realization, there was someone in her life who fit this profile. None other than Noah Roberts. While she wasn’t exactly friends with him, they’ve been in each others lives for years. Chloe walked into his studio, assuming he’d be there mid day in a workweek. As she watched him hunched over his sketchbook, her inner core of loving a small level of destruction, she leaned up against the table and looked over all the sketches "Well, it’s not your best work...” 

Chloe felt exhilarated, she always felt like this when riding through the city on her motorbike. Weaving through the cars, the cars honking at her as she did it. She chuckled every time since she knew nine times out of ten, it was aimed for her. The blonde turned the corner, to see exactly who she wanted walking with his earbuds in and coffee in hand. She revved her engine and drove down the street to pull up to Noah’s studio. She waited for him to come into view, “Hey hottie!” She yelled through her helmet, smirking after she got his attention. “Nice pants. Take them off.”

Chloe threw the ball for Orion to run after, he’d been very attached to the new ball she decided to buy for him. As the dog ran for the ball, another dog who entered the dog park decided to steal it causing a chase between the two. Chloe laughed lightly, and walked back over to Noah wanting to be as close to him as possible. “God it’s really getting cold.” She commented, then leaned into him for warmth. Chloe pressed her cheek against his chest watching Orion before looking up at her handsome boyfriend. She smiled as she felt Noah place his hand on her cheek, she leaned into his palm, while his thumb began to brush her the side of her upper lip. Chloe smiled before leaning in and pressing her lips to his. Chloe could live in this moment forever, she was moments away from deepening their kiss, when she felt a huge weight knock her legs. “Oh!” She yelped before leaning on Noah, and suddenly their were both going down. As they crashed on the ground Chloe looked up, “Orion!” she and Noah said together which made her laugh. 

“Oh, Stanley” scolded a familiar voice. Chloe turned her head and the woman recognized them immediately. “Oh you two again, how lovely to see you. I’m so sorry about Stanley, he and your dog just adore each other.” Chloe laughed and nodded their head. “You know their having a good time when social awareness goes out the window.” She said still horizontal, “Well I’m sure we’ll be seeing each other around then. My name is Maureen, and that’s Roger my husband.” Chloe smiled and noticed her husband waving at them, Chloe gently waved back. “I’m Chloe, this is my boyfriend Noah.” She smiled, “Well it’s lovely to see you both again a-” “Maureen!” the woman turned to her husband and waved him off. “Well I best be off, enjoy your day.” She then walked back to her husband, Chloe chuckled and replied. “You too.” causally, before looking at Noah and breaking into a fit of laughter.
