@procidensdraco One Of Us Is A Monster (Its Not You)
Thereâs a swish of a wand to close to his face and Seamus flinches--not back, heâs learned that moving away from something likely means itâll come back at him two fold, but in a sort of acknowledgement: this its likely going to hurt.Â
Then it doesnât. Or it hurts in the way of things healing. Things creep back into focus and Seamus smiles. Draco doesnât--has he ever? Sneered, of course, but smiled. Seamus doesnât think so. âWhat would anyone think if they could see you?â
âSee me what?â Draco returns like he hasnât been caught, like Seamusâ head wouldnât still be ringing for two hours or more if he hadnât done--something.
Heâs not even sure what spell that was. Probably a family something--or was it something Draco learned because he now needed it?
Draco keeps speaking but it comes in in bits--like a badly tuned radio full of static. Why hadnât they just replaced the wireless that one time--just because it was old didnât mean it was an heirloom--?
âDo you know any spells that would blow them up?â Seamus asks, as off hand as the weather or what a quidditch match used to be. He focuses back in on Draco, the curve of his mouth and the way it hardens, a slight tightening of the eyes. Clearly Seamus hadnât guessed what he had been on about. âJust a thought.â Seamus adds and then grins, leaning in as Draco moves away. âI prolly wouldnât do it, cushlamachree.â Behind them both Padma opens the door and Seamus raises his voice, âAgra, what have you brought us?â
