1 prototype built from a converted Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar, first flying in 1950. Removable cargo pods were attachable to the bottom of the fuselage. This would have allowed the cargo plane to be turned around quickly between missions, as the pods could be pre-loaded. If it had gone into production, the aircraft would have been designated the C-128, however, despite extensive testing the project was eventually cancelled. The lone aircraft was scrapped.
