The first thing Andrew did upon catching sight of Corey was practically pounce the other in a hug. Because, well... He was in a good mood. It was a rarity, for the thoughts in his head to not win out over his elation over what they’d achieved. They could have done better, but... They’d come out of it mostly unscathed. Zeke and Jamie had taken.. A lot more damage than he was comfortable with, but they’d managed to pull it back.
And they’d all survived. They were all alive. Some worse for wear, but alive.
“I hear you were one of the ones who prayed for their dad, right? For the barrier?” A pause, even as he pulls back a little to look up at the other as he turns, flashing a half grin. “Thank you. I, uh...” He couldn’t do it. Still. Even knowing that the barrier was held up by their parents. He couldn’t do it. There was too much he didn’t agree with.
