Alex could see the morning light from the insides of her eyelids. Her head was pounding with a hangover and her stomach already rumbled, calling out for a Bloody Mary or at the very least, a strong cup of coffee. She opened her eyes, blinking a few times to adjust to the light, but also to figure out where she was. This wasnโt her hotel room. This was a couch, not a bed. Clearly, she didnโt get laid. Maybe that was for the best.
She heard the voice of a little boy in another room and her mind raced to think about where she was or what she did. The last thing she remembered was falling into the arms of a gorgeous brunette. Her name was Chelsea, right? Charlotte? Something with a C-H.
Alex stumbled off the couch, trying to regain her composure. If there was a kid around, she wasnโt going to try to scar him for life.
โHello?โ She called out quietly, trying to see who was still in the house.
