@deliirious - based on this plot - vampire verse
the scent of blood was thick in the air that night and hung heavy like a fog; the moon was nowhere to be seen. the creatures that roamed at this time too violent for even her nature. the abandoned cathedral was empty, save from the ghosts and the dead. and in the cold glow of the spluttering candles you could just make out the crouched silhouette of the vampire. austere and animalistic and bent over his prey like a wolf at murder scene. he liked to lure them here, liked the privacy it offered him. he was old fashioned, but had been skulking in the shadows for the better part of a century now and had long since picked his favourite hunting grounds. this part of the city was what he considered to be â his â territory, which was why when he caught the familiar scent of a hunter he had long thought heâd gotten the better of on the northerly breeze he stopped short with surprise, blood dripping down his chin and black eyes dilating until they returned to a more humanly colour, all senses poised to catch the otherâs tracks.Â
âyou just canât learn your lesson, can you?â the pale man laughed, straightening up to his full height so fast that you would have missed it if you blinked, waiting with a terrifying smile for the other to show herself to him. âdonât be shy, natalie. come out and letâs play, shall we? maybe a more permanent point needs to be made here. this is my part of the city, and youâre interrupting my dinner.â    Â
