The Huntress || Lailah&Saura

Lailah sometimes made a habit out of looking after the children of Richmond. She was already revered in the community as a healer; some even suspected her of being a White Witch, but they trusted her. Today, the Angel was greeted by a few children playing in the shallow pools in front of her home. They asked her to teach them about the stars like she always promised. And with their family’s permission, she borrowed them for the evening.
She spent only a couple hours with them after sundown, talking about the constellations and planets. It always amazed her how their eyes would light up with wonder and joy. Children were one of mankind’s many beauties and she understood why her Maker cherished them so much. Before it had gotten too late, Lailah escorted them home. It wasn’t until the third child wiggled from her embrace that she realized something. What she had mistaken for pox scars around the child’s shoulder were actually bite marks.
After asking the parents a few questions, they said the girl came into their care only two days ago. Apparently, they took the child in as one of their own after she wandered into the town. Lailah swiped a piece of a fabric from the girl’s tunic and bid them farewell. She went right to Saura, knowing just the hunter to track down the creatures behind those scars.
“I’m afraid I need your help this time.” She said to the alpha. “I hope you’re up for a little hunt.”
