15. Kiss in the Rain
It was like a scene from one of those romance movies. But he didn’t care. Even in their down days, everything between them seemed like it came right out of a romance movie. The fact that it was raining wasn’t even bothering him.
To reach her lips he always had to stretch slightly with her being slightly taller than him. He puts his arms around her as a grin spreads across his face. He has to brush the hair that fell on his face from the rain. He does the same with her and he brings their lips together.
Sometimes things seemed to good to be true with Baby. But to him he felt that the two of them deserved each other. They were perfect, their kiss was perfect. Rain or shine there wasn't a time since their first kiss where he doubted anything about them
The clips that were shown at the end of the movie before the shootout were from a recent home movie that Mama had made. It was the first time that everyone managed to gather after Grandpa’s death and it ended up being a really lovely time. The family never mourned death because it’s a natural part of life, but rather celebrated Grandpa’s life with drinks and stories.
It was the last real gathering that the family ever had. The raid on the Firefly ranch happened less than a month later.
