Hey fun fact: people are only considered adults once they hit 21. Itās for the same reason as why people in the US canāt drink until that age, as the brain isnāt fully developed until that age. Oh and also, that was the age Radi would have been when he became king, so itās more of an honorary thing.
But yes this does mean they technically enlist minors into their military (18 at least).

The Radi was 17 ish when he became a god. And like most of the other gods, the Radi stopped physically aging after ascension. Mentally, maybe he did a little, but at heart the Radi is still and always 17 years old.
It's not. And I still can't come up with a name for the plague.
Enlightenment Period
Started when the gods gave the gift of light to humans. Most of the churches for each god formed during this time.Ā
Beginning of Kingdom
The god Radi officially starts the kingdom. Cities are starting to rebuild up north after the destruction caused by the First Star. Exploration of the Aviary has started, and the Deep Woods start being cut down.
Industrial Age
Experimentation on the draining of the gods begins, unknown to the public. Radi warns against it, as Radi considers the rest of gods family. Meanwhile, the Aviary has started to have settlements and many technological breakthroughs are made. Trade has started with other countries, specifically with the merpeople. Radi unfortunately passes away, and the people left in charge drain three of the gods of their light to power newer technology, most of which is meant for war. Those gods then amalgamate into a creature known as Omni and is kept chained under the castle located in the capital. This is also around when the Capitol gets nicknamed the Shining City, in honor of Radi.
End of Trade with Merpeople
Technically overlaps with the plague outbreak and Industrial Age. The merpeople know about the draining, as they have direct contact with the god of the oceans and rivers, Theol the turtle. Unhappy with the draining, they break off trade with the Kingdom of Radi and become a myth to the humans.Ā
Plague Outbreak
As one might have guessed, chaining Omni under a castle wasnāt the best idea. An oil-like substance starts to drip off of Omni and when it came into contact with the humans keeping it contained, the substance caused the humanās light to mutate and eventually kill them. Eventually, Omni broke out and ended up leaving the substance across the kingdom. Or, in some cases, the people who originally guarded it tracked it home. The first outbreak was in the Capitol as thatās where Omni was held the longest, but other outbreaks started popping up in other towns. Soon, every town had at least 20 people infected and the number only grew. A little over two-thirds of the population had died by the time it stopped spreading. It became known as the ____ Plague. Other countries and kingdoms cut off contact with the Kingdom of Radi, and the borders never reopened.
Present Day
Outbreaks of the plague occur every few years, but are more contained. Unfortunately, some towns never recovered and were left in ruins, like the castle Omni chose to hide in. One of the plague outbreaks took Deltaās biological parents, one before they were born, and the other after. Despite knowing what the original drainings caused, the current ruler of the Kingdom of Radi decided to proceed with hunting down the rest of the gods and draining them. Blink took the form of a snail during the plague outbreak and was in hiding, but was found and taken to a military base. Pilot found out about the drainings and proceeded to steal Blink, crash into Deltaās backyard, and now we have Bweeble.

For context, there is an original project Iām working on and I need help describing the āgrade levels.ā Itās not like first grade through twelfth grade, more of like a Hogwarts type situation with houses. I already have names for the different three, but Iām a little stumped here. More info about that below
The Aviaryās Academy is divided into three sections so to speak. From highest to lowest, itās Cichlid, Basslet, and Tetra. Yes I named each one after fish.
Cichlid is kinda like college/honors for Academy students. Itās either you have the grades to get in, or your parents are wealthy enough to pull some strings. The only time it wouldnāt be either of those two is if the student signs up for military, in which the kingdom basically covers it. These kids are usually aged 16 to 25.
Basslets are the average kids. A bunch of 16 to 20 year olds, and most of them are out and working by the time theyāre 18. Some however, like my main character, choose to keep going until theyāre 20 for more time to think about work and a chance at being bumped up to Cichlid.
Tetras are usually 10 to 15. As the Aviary is rather clumped together, most everyone attends the Academy as at least a Tetra at some point in their life before continuing education through an apprenticeship or joining a family business. Any schooling before 10 is usually homeschool or small daycares scattered throughout.
TLDR; Cichlid is high school upperclassman and college students, Basslet is regular high school, and Tetra is everyone else pretty much. And as a bonus fact, each one has their own separate color for uniforms.

Most of the gods of Bweeble can only communicate to humans through a human(s) mindscape/dreams. Each mind scape is unique to each person, although sometimes ātraitsā of each one can be shared with different people depending on how close they are. Each one can also change as the person grows older, so like a younger kid might have a more āemptyā mindscape compared to an adult. This also isnāt common knowledge in the Kingdom of Radi, as the gods make less of an effort to communicate nowadays in fear. Also, each personās mindscape is also influenced by their families god. If I havenāt explained that part yet, let me know and Iāll make another post for it.
Examples:
Deltaās would be highly centered around their trinket collection. (Some of this is based on my own, shh) Like, instead of a small articulated fish, there would be ones the size of whales swimming through the air. The flooring would be made out of old coins and buttons and maybe bottle caps. The flooring would also be āpatchyā, like thereās large holes throughout that seem to lead into a starry void. You canāt actually fall through, you kinda just float there.
Pilotās would be a long wooden pier. The beach itās connected to is visible, but not reachable. You could walk for hours down the pier and never reach the beach. The water is calm and maybe changing to rougher waters as Pilotās mood changes. There is paint peeling off the wood and exposed nails sticking out in places. Fishing rods are set up every once in a while as you walk, but never cast and no one is using them.
Iām going to go into more detail and sketch out what Iām thinking for each character later.
