The last thing that Paul had expected was Bettany to ask him to spend New Years together. He always thought that he was joking about these kind of things, but come to find out, he was serious! This was good news, though, as Paul was always pretty serious about it too. After taking a shower and getting dressed in the tux he had gotten for the event, he stood in the mirror styling his hair. When everything felt ready, he put on the ant cuffs that Bettany had got him and was ready to head out. They had planned to meet up before the event, so Paul told him that he would head over to his house about an hour before the event. 

Getting in his car, he put Bettany’s address into his GPS and started his journey there. At his age, he shouldn’t be this nervous about this kind of thing, but he felt like a teenager again. Plus, he was going to a public event with a guy. It was not something that he has a problem with, but was this something that was going to blow up in newspapers. Would there be paparazzi there? Oh well, it was a risk he was willing to take. Pulling up in front of Paul’s house, he parked his car and checked the car mirror for a minute before popping a breath mint and heading up to the mans’ house. He straightened his tie and knocked.
