if you think for a SECOND you’re a true theater fan because you’ve stagedoored every show you’ve seen, met every actor, stalk/know everything about every actor, cry about understudies, and collect THOUSANDS of playbills you are NOT a theater fan at all.
theater is about ART. its about CONTENT. STORIES. BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS. it’s not about who won the tony or drama desk or which show is the BEST ONE and getting the most press. the business is about making money, but the fans who see past that are TRUE FANS.
