so something cool happened while I was singing on my drive home today (in just the last few minutes of the drive so I didn't get to practice it much😭💀). Anyway, the thing is that for a long time now I've been able to belt pretty well if I'm imitating someone else, but something would go badly wrong if I wasn't trying to copy someone (this is how I temporarily fucked up my voice last summer) so I've been gradually trying to figure out how to belt without copying people by just varying little things while still mostly copying them. Well today I had been doing that & it had drifted far enough that it didn't sound like anyone I've ever heard before, & it wasn't fucking up my voice. & it sounded good? from what I could tell? I really wanna practice it more so I can eventually record it & see what it really sounds like 😭 because if it sounded how I think it did.. oo I'm excited to play with that.
