Suddenly everything became dark and silent, she no longer felt the pain on her head and had no blood dirtying her clothes, she saw her hands clean and no chain marks on her wrist. It was weird indeed, she felt something running down her cheeks, she wiped out with the back of her hand, it was a tear, but why was she crying? Was she happy or was she sad?

The girl was in a dark place, she only saw figures floating around her, she tried calling for someone, but no one answered. She shivered from the coldness, she rubbed her arms in a poor attempt to warm herself. All the horror she saw, maybe it was all a dream and finally she could wake up on a warm bed and realize it was just a bad dream.

She was liking the idea of everything been just a nightmare but the she saw a door, it was light brown, with thick details worked in metal, it was intimidating but the girl breathed deeply and walked towards the door. She put her hand on the knob, it was so cold, but she finally opened the door.

“Hello, don’t be afraid, you just died, but I’ll help you to pass to the afterlife. I’m the grim reaper, by the way” said someone

She looked inside and frowned, there was a dark-haired boy with big dark circles under his eyes, one hand writing something down and the other sustaining his head from falling and surrounded by big piles of papers and books. He seemed terribly tired and bored.

She stepped inside his office, the guy stood up and looked at the girl, immediately he covered his mouth with both hands, his eyes became widened, and walked backward, hitting a wardrobe, a pile of papers fell hitting the boy right on the head, making him contort his face in a mix of pain and anger.

“What are you doing here?” Asked him

“I don't know” she said “you just told me that I died”

“Ah, right, yes, but you can’t just keep dying to meet me, we’re over, get lost” He shouted.

“What do you mean by get lost? I just freaking died, and you are the grim reaper, help me!” She said. “I didn't die because I wanted, you don’t know how hard it was these last months”

The girl felt out of breath and on the verge of crying due to the memories that was rushing into her mind and making her feel a sour taste in her mouth.

“Look, I’m sorry, but you can’t die, you have to go back to your life, understand?” said the boy.

“No, please, don’t send me back to them, please, anything but that, the horrible things they did to me, I can’t with that, death is my freedom” She pled while crying hard and tugging on his black greatcoat  

“You don’t have to tell me, I know what was happening to you, I’m so sorry that I couldn’t do anything to help you, if I could, I would’ve protected you” Said the boy biting his lips and with eyes darker and deep like the sea

“Ok, you’re obviously hiding something from me, what it is? Like you just talking nonsense” said her “Won’t you're going to ask if I'm afraid? Or if I'm going to ask what's come after death?”

“No, we already had that conversation and I remember you saying that after so many time on the afterlife you’re weren't scared anymore” Said him “I missed you when you went to you next life and born again”

“What? I’ve been here before? Tell me more, what's going on?” Asked her

“it’s nothing, look, it wasn’t supposed for you to die today, so I’ll just send you back to your life, you still have a long life to live, If I’m lucky you won’t remember me”

She got away from him, shaking away his hand from her arms. But the she felt a strong and sharp pain on her chest that faster than ever spread through her entire body, she kneeled, embracing herself, gasping for air.

“What's going on?!” Screamed her

“I think someone's trying to reanimate you” Said him “See? It must be a signal, you have to go back to your life!” Said him

Despite the pain, she stood up

“No, I refuse to go back to that hell of life” Screamed her.

The pain she once felt vanished like smoke, she touched her body to confirm that she was ok. Then looked to the guy, he looked shocked and deeply sad. The girl felt her hands getting colder and the place started to feel warmer now.

“What’s happening?” asked her.

“The grim reaper can’t do anything if the person chooses to stay dead” He said gulping hard with ragged breath.

“So that's a good thing, now you can finally say why were you so desperate to send me back to life” said her

“Because once you were like me, a grim reaper and we were told that we were going to born again” He said while the corner of his lips trembled “And I was so happy, cause in life we would find each other. We even knew who our mothers would be, they were neighbors, we could’ve been neighbors and grow together and live a long and happy life. But one of the babies died before birth, so I didn't reincarnate, only you did”

“And why would you want to live with me? Until now my life has been awful” said her “You said that you know how my life was, so I don’t know why would to be close to a troublesome like me”

“Don’t say that, Y/N! Like I said I feel miserable every time I knew you were suffering and I could do nothing, but you were the one I wish I could spend a whole lifetime with.”

“Don’t tell me you fell for me” said her laughing

“Actually, I did, I fell for you and I think I haven’t stopped loving you ever since” Said him.

Y/N was confused and hating him for wanting to send her back to her shitty life but became hard hating him while he did those lost puppy cute eyes.

I went to the les mis tour for my birthday last year and my seats weren't super great (up in the double balcony) so after Enjolras died I could see him get up and walk off

Also the current tour had Javerts suicide done really trippy if you haven't seen that.
