Hi friends! I hope you all had relaxing holidays, with some self-care. 🌼 I definitely took some time off from posting regularly. I was starting to feel drained from social media. But, I'm back! 😄 I missed you all. . 🌼❄🌼 . I have created so many new pieces this past month, and I have so many others in the works, I can't wait to photograph them and share with all you amazing people. 💖 So here's a sketchbook page to start. I came across extreme close up photography of butterfly and moth wings. 🦋🐛🦋 I've always loved both (I have a moth tattoo on my arm). If you're curious, google butterfly wing closeups, you wont be disappointed. The images are stunning. Like tiny dragon scales. 😄🐲 I attempted to capture one in colourful doodle form. I used my new soft pastels as a base and then colored pencils overtop to create the scale effect. I have to say, I'm not really happy with this piece. It doesn't look anything like I saw in my head. But that's okay. 🤷‍♀️ That just means I get another chance to test this out. 😋 And there are so many cool wings to choose from.
