No but wait, hear me out, at some point at the beginning they said at the end of the show they would change something that would make shippers scream right? You reblogged it ages ago and I’m paraphrasing but still. Now it probably wasn’t about Lydia, cuz that wasn’t really a secret or anything and she’s introduced around the middle of the series, and the way they said it also makes it improbable that it would be something book-related (Clace anyone?). Soooo Idk but it just screams Saphael for me. I mean they changed a lot of things about their relationship, they’re definitely closer (openly so, I mean) than in the books, and as @prioritiesasstraightasalec pointed out, they (probably but hey who knows? Ha. No way.Why?!) won’t make it to endgame so Sizzy is still in the race, which on top of everything would be consistent with the show’s open and respectful depiction of bisexuality. Last but not least, David retweeting Saphael stuff? Really?? So yeah I know there’s like a 99.9999999% probability of all this being wishful thinking but it’s still my theory ^^
