I've mentioned it once...or twice,

How we all are lost, in life.

I've said it a first, a second time,

That we're all living, but not alive.

We're too busy being maniacal with our wants,

Being eaten alive by our thoughts.

To simply sit and smile,

At a single grateful thought.

We're too busy,

Churning in fear and desperation,

To take it easy,

To give our souls a vacation.

~

I've said it at some point,

How most of us have lost our inner voice,

It's been dulled out by the loud,

Shrieks of everyone else's choice

~

I've said it, at the very least I've thought it.

Thought about why we won't admit it,

Admit that we're no one,

If we don't think we fit in.

~

You're too busy hating on yourself,

To notice our love for you.

You're too busy loving everyone else,

To notice we hate ourselves too.

~

We're too busy wanting,

I'm too busy thinking.

We're all too preoccupied hurting,

To live a life with meaning.

~
