@thewestkauai favorite @historic_waimea_theater for the @waimea_town_celebration had a day filled with independent movies. The movies played before and after some short films or āshortsā. Very interesting ,but ones knowledgeable and very exciting shorts (movies) played and #weohana love them all. At the end feedback was the obvious, you could here us -or #temanalove really laughing-the jokes didnt pass us at all in any movie. The kids had a debate on two shorts choices and then agreed on #sinkhole; we got serious, #gonecamping had us because it related very much to the daily grind of #weohana vs digital communications. Sinkhole had us-thought the character sucked, you know old asian moviesā¦plot twist characters made us laugh, cry ā¦laugh again ā¦but this time #bustlaughing, cry like āgeez dramaticā, took us on an āare you for realā adventure, laughed and scientifically amazed then #ballcrying. Being one part Asian and European , after watching these movies- we are grateful we arenāt in the war, have sinkholes, we had movies with shared beliefs and did film our Oahu lokoia back in early 2000s before our own Waimea @peleketeke managed there whoās here now at @malama_huleia on the river boarder of #thewestkauai! @historic_waimea_theater holds @hiffhawaii films and we are glad we got to see some.
