This 4ft x 2ft acrylic on board painting was the first in my burning cities series. I didn’t know it yet, but life as I knew it was about to drastically change. My subconscious knew it. I could feel my art changing. The next few years were dark and difficult. Sometimes you loose someone suddenly, tragically and way before their time. This piece is in honor of Jeremiah, my late brother in law. I had the honor of tattooing this on his best friend, Avi. We're still coming to terms with the loss of him, and doing this tattoo was healing for both Avi and I. One step closer to acceptance. A new way to remember him. Another landmark in time.
