Sensory Overload!
So, I got the chance to go to Bristol, well, I grabbed it with both hands! There is so much to see it is mind boggling. I took over a 1000 photos, I’m still sorting through them. Apologies in advance for not knowing the names of all the artists.

Our hero Pete Jaundice raises his head above the parapet as he bowls around Polucalopolis under the vail of night trying to earn a few measly bucks, questioning societies ills, defying authority in the land of the estranged.
EXCERPT FROM RECENT VANDALOG INTERVIEW WITH ROWDY Firstly the film has been a mammoth effort to produce, though many of the illustrations in it have a lot of energy in them, the whole process in general ticks along at the pace of a Tortoise, towards the end you begin to question if you even like the dam thing. We got Jules Landau from The Zen Hussies in to do some voice overs and that gave the project a new lease of life. The film has an underlying Anti- Capitalist stance set against a myriad of brightly coloured buildings whilst our hero Pete Jaundice tries to 'Get A Proper Job' in the land of the estranged.

Brick Lane area used by addicts and street artists closed off
This area at the top of Brick Lane (nr Aldgate East ) is boarded off now. It happened as recently as last month ( end July or start August 2009). The breeze blocks have blocked from view the big space inside. That area was used by drug addicts and graffiti artists ( addicts still do use it...they just jump the high fence). Needles, foil and excrement were a common sight if you peered in and looked to the right where the mattress was. The other pictures show what it looked like. In the second image, the face is by Burning Candy.
Development both presents and closes off opportunities....

I asked RJ Rushmore ( of Vandalog) what the idea behind his show was. His answer was basically he believes that street art is worthy of inclusion in museums. That every single piece in the exhibition merited that recognition and that whilst individual shows have taken place, he wants to push for group shows and he wants "The Thousands" show to be a model for that.
