It’s back to school for NYC kids! Beatrice Coron’s “Bronx Literature” (2006) at Burke Avenue celebrates the rich literary heritage of the Bronx by portraying great writers including James Baldwin, Edgar Allen Poe, Sholem Aleichem and Nicholasa Mohr. The artist explains, "These authors tell the story of the borough from colonial times to suburban and contemporary community developments. Their works help us travel through time into different social classes and communities, making each of us an insider."
