Manga Burikko covers, 1982-84 (source, info)
Whenever Sakura says she was bullied when she was young because she was a burikko I was shocked. A) I don't think she's that much of a burikko compared to Sayu and Momochi and B) she always struck me as the type other girls look up to and find adorable??? She has a naturally cute and airy way of speaking and has adorable facial expressions. Kids are evil.
Ryuto’s burikko….i really cant XD
(T/N: Burikko describes the kind of girl who pretends to be cute, either acting in a totally different way to her true self or taking her inner kawaii to the absolute max) lol!!

Web Novel Suggestions: The Titles Are Too Long
Title An Otome Game's Burikko Villainess Turned into a Magic Otaku Genre “Reincarnation” story, fantasy, comedy, romance, drama Summary Similar to my last suggestion, the heroine of this story dies in an accident, falling down a flight of stairs, and “reincarnates” as a rival character in a world based off of an otome game. Regaining her memories at the age of three, our heroine finds herself with the role of the sole child of the Rhodolite Marquis family, Camille Rhodolite. Coincidentally, the original Camille's fate was one of “social obliteration”. Naturally, that's not something very pleasant! Of course, for her, there was another pretty big issue with this world she found herself in- something very fun and interesting for her. Magic. Cue Camille's descent in becoming a “magic otaku”. This is a fun story, similar to Destruction Flag Otome, but it's not a tale that's all fluff and happiness. It's a story of love, life, magic, and politics. While not nearly as “feel-good” as Destruction Flag Otome, it certainly has its fair share of amusing and light-hearted moments later on, even when the plot has already gotten rolling. The Good It's an amusing tale with a female protagonist that's mentally competent (if not a bit focused in one specific field). While the cast is gradually expanding, the regulars get a sufficient amount of screen time to properly develop. While it's not necessarily an epic tale (at least not yet; the translation isn't done, so I may have to revise this), it's got a heroine that can slay dragons, espionage and politics as plot seasoning, and plenty of amusing characters in different factions. I'd say it covered its bases plenty well. The Bad Though the story functions quite well as a mesh of genres, it doesn't really emphasize much of it until the romance starts kicking in. Sure, there's plenty of combat-related things later, but I found it a little disappointing to hear about the heroine's strength, yet never really get to see that full brunt. Maybe this is answered later in the story, but, yeah. Other than that, I don't really like the current antagonist. That's not to say that the antagonist is doing a good job and deserving the hate, but that they just don't seem very... deep. They're actually somewhat short-sighted at present. These don't hurt the overall package too much, though. These are just what I'd consider small disappointments. My Opinion This is essentially “Destruction Flag Otome, with a legitimate plot”, to me. While that story focused almost entirely on the heroine and those around her, this story goes around with several different viewpoints, allowing for a more comprehensive picture of the situation, and, on top of that, it's a bit exciting to see how things will turn out. It's definitely worth checking out if you're one for the overall concept, and, hey, it's one of those rarities: A (good) story with a female protagonist. My primary issue with it is belooooooow~ Availability This particular story has concluded, so no need to worry about the author keeling over! However, the translation has not yet finished. It's making progress, certainly, but it isn't done yet. While this may not be a problem if you just read a chapter here or there, steamrolling through the story to the currently most-translated chapter likeIdid will leave you feeling a bit unsatisfied and grumbly. If you're the sort that storms through these things, it may be better to wait just a bit, if you're one to get impatient. Otherwise? Go for it!
