@burgerstm because we love some good ol’ angst
it felt like she was waiting for hours when really it only took twenty minutes for the bus to come , hopping on with little hesitation. she would have been in canada by now but the sentimental part of her wanted to say goodbye to her friends. and by saying goodbye she means punching them in the arm then hugging them before leaving. mentioning nothing of this plan.
plopping down on a in the back , it looked to be the cleanest one. less stain than the others , it’ll do. they seemed so mad at her ( especially her dad ) and they had every right to be , because of her ignorant actions , they’ll be struggling to scrape even more money for the next five months. both of them told her a million times to not mess with the grill without them there , she knew the potential of breaking it or causing a fire. but she still didn’t listen.
they’ll be happier this way. save so much money , maybe even get some actual business. no one there to mess things up. even if she feels like they won’t miss her , she’ll miss them. she’ll miss everyone.
there were tears welling up , for a brief moment one would think she was about to fall into an uncontrollable pity party. but it’s cut short when a familiar figure stands before her. quickly wiping her eyes , she leaps from her seat , both shocked and relieved at the same time.
‘‘ d..dad ?! but wh ------ how did you find me ? ’‘
