Penelope tensed up a little, not being used to of being held so tightly against her will, especially when she was just coming to. Apparently her body language physically changing was a trigger enough to whoever was holding onto her noticing it, as Penelope could feel someone slightly scooting closer to her, another body pressing against her back and a tip of a nose tickling her neck before a face was buried into the crook of it.

She recognized the familiar sleepy singsongy sigh that followed immediately.

Penelope relaxed, allowing herself to be pulled into the arms of the other woman tighter, Allie still clearly being quite asleep. She hummed quietly, content, her soft voice right next to her ear sending shivers down Penelope’s spine.

She slowly reached her hand behind her head, landing it in Allie’s hair, carefully stroking it. She was very well aware this might wake her up, a risk Penelope was willing to take, but she just had to make sure she was there, even if she couldn’t really see Allie.

After a moment, Allie slowly stirred behind her, Penelope hearing a quiet yawn coming from her as Allie’s face moved away from her neck. There was a quick kiss against her cheek before Allie lowered her chin on her shoulder, leaning her head against Penelope’s.

“Good morning, gorgeous.”

Penelope pulled her hand back to herself, making the effort to shift on her spot to turn around, after a bit of fiddling finally being on her other side, getting face to face with Allie. The messy haired blonde smiled at her, clearly still being half asleep, but it didn’t matter. As far as Penelope was concerned, she still looked as beautiful as ever.

“Did you sleep well?”

Penelope smiled back at her, she didn’t need to say anything to drive home to point that in the arms of her favorite person she always slept the best. Allie yawned again before leaning closer, pressing a quick peck on her lips before leaning her forehead against Penelope’s, closing her eyes again, clearly ready to just go back to sleep.

“We need to get up.”

Allie pouted a little at her statement, but didn’t move from her spot. Penelope could still feel the arms around her waist, feeling like they were almost holding her a little bit tighter after hearing her statement. “I have to do my makeup today.”

“Nooooo,” Allie whined at her quietly, snuggling closer to the other blonde. “But you’re already beautiful. You don’t need make up.”

Penelope really wished she could have agreed with her. Being like this was so familiar and so comfortable, she really didn’t want to move from this spot either. Unfortunately, they both had obligations today right in the morning, so sleeping in wasn’t really an option.

“Ten more minutes,” she finally sighed, but offered Allie a smile as she pulled her closer, holding her tighter against her. Penelope could feel a little kiss against her neck as Allie snuggled as close to her as possible, getting comfortable with her newly acquired living pillow.
