No dis to Dipset, but this may be one of the best rap Christmas songs ever made. How has nobody thought to flip that Vince Guaraldi 'Peanuts' sample before? Not to mention that phenomenal cover art.
IT'S CHRISTMAS, BITCHES.
Kinda old but perfectly dark and scummy and weird, just like a Seattle winter.
Seattle's Nacho Picasso gets a 7.9 from Pitchfork
Pitchfork recognized the greatness of For the Glory, hopefully the rest of Seattle will do the same. Go check out that Steezie Nasa while you're at it. It's been a nice year for Cloud Nice.
"Smokin readin comic books?" Now this is something I can get behind. Peep the most excellent video for the reference-packed "Marvel" from Nacho Picasso of Seattle's Cloud Nice camp. Be sure to check out the rest of For The Glory, produced entirely by also-local duo Blue Sky Black Death, below.
And yes, that cover art does rule.

The UW "dormwave"* duo Beat Connection has been mad busy lately, working on re-releasing their much-hyped Surf Noir EP, writing new material and preparing for a trip deep to the heart of Texas for a gig at SXSW. Somehow they found the time to collaborate with local design team Dumb Eyes to give us this trip of a video for EP standout "Silver Screen." Enjoy.
