Hands you all a crumb from rest stop in the stars since that one won out in ye old poll >.> ~
Moon had made a point early on in the evening to not look towards the diner. No, no it was too much. Anxious energy pinging all around in his code. Instead he made the point to spend the evening checking in on the empty rooms of the motel - fluffing pillows, straightening sheets. Hell he even started to start crafting towel creatures to decorate with. Anything to keep his hands and mind busy and not occupied on if Sun would actually show up or not.
A little towel swan sitting demurely on the end of the noxious orange bedsheet of the last room he did his rounds in. All of the rooms had different themes of primary colors. This one had to be his least favorite, but maybe if someone was a fan of orange it would be a dream come true. Carpets, curtains, and lamps all blurring together with the color.
He gently places a little complimentary chocolate down next to the swan. A dark blue wrapper with a little crescent half moon on it. “..There you go,” he says more for himself than if the creature might actually respond. He takes a look at the retro blocky alarm clock on the nightstand. Eleven pm on the dot. A surge of excess energy rushes through his wires and causes his right hand to twitch. He quickly grabs hold of it and focuses on directing the energy elsewhere. Internal fans whining with the effort.
After a few moments of calming his nerves he finally lets go, the shake no longer present in his hand. He looks down one last time at the swan. A little embarrassed, “Well… wish me luck..” Shockingly the towel creation does not respond but instead sits in silence. As if to say, Sure. You’re gonna need it buddy.
