Aesentra, or "Aes" (pronounced Ace), is a male earthen defender in the Bumblehaven AU. Earthens, in Bumblehaven, are the bones of the world. They are the shamans, the groundskeepers, the mystics, and the preservationists. They tend the land and all the creatures on it with nothing but resilience and compassion. Their affinities, magics, and domains of power almost always have to do with the earth in some way, and their offspring are no different -- even if they're hybrid. 

 Aes himself is a defender of his herd, a warrior-like chieftain that works in council with other defenders to protect shared interests (like their home, friends, family -- you get the point). He's big, as all earthens are, and wields a massive diamond-and-wood hewn scythe.

Introducing Bumblehoof! 

Spunky, creative, and ready to take on any adventure, BH is a symbolic representation of me as I am in reality. She may be referred to as modhorse, deerhorse, or BH across my accounts.

A hybrid (or half-breed, as she's been rudely called in the past) between a stag and a common pegasus, she bears features of both her parents in the most incredible of ways. Her path (or special talent) is like that of the bumblebee -- to wander and spread good things, mostly stories and visual creations, to help make her world a better place.

Bumblehoof makes her living by hauling flight-sensitive goods across the main continent of Equus, her realm in the Haven. She does so alone, but doesn’t mind if fellow travelers accompany her if they happen to be going the same way. Just first, BH has one rule:

Don’t touch the cargo.

Much of what BH hauls is being moved by land for a reason. In a magic-riddled world, there are plenty of things too fragile, volatile, or unpredictable to be flown by a pegasi, or winnowed somewhere magically by a unicorn. Plus, some ingredients can never get wet, so whale-mail is certainly out of the question too.

That’s where beings like Bumblehoof come in, creatures that know the continent and its patterns well enough to ensure the supplies get safely where they need to be -- no matter how long it may take. Strategies are always shifting. The land between trade cities is wild with beasties and shadows, threats both beautiful and terrible scattered naturally throughout the continent. The Haven is a world well-lived in, by folk and beastie alike. Every type of lifestyle can be accounted for somehow, from the most peaceful civilizations, to the most chaotic and untamed of wonderlands.
