STARTER FOR @bulletproofkookie
Everything in this world is dirty. Public transportation, doorknobs, the same air everyone else breathes, etc.
Ever since Jimin was young he had this fear of the outside world. That wherever he would go he would get contaminated with other people’s germs. It all became clear when it was the first time one of his friends touched him. Instead of welcoming the simple touch on his arm he screamed: “Don’t touch me with your dirty hands!” and backed away. On one hand he couldn’t deny the fact he liked the touch, but his fear was bigger and he couldn’t fight the feeling of feeling disgusting and wanting to wash his hands and arm. He was unable to fight it. His classmates were too young to understand. Even he didn’t understand until his mom took him to see a doctor and he was diagnosed with mysophobia. It all made sense why he felt this way.
From that day on he stayed most of his days inside. He stopped going to school and was tutored at home. His room was practically all white as that was the only color he felt safe with and gave off a clean environment. His parents gave him his own bathroom. He even washed his own clothes separately since he did not want to mix his clothes with that of his parents. Who knows what kind of germs they would pass onto his clothes?
Now that he was on the age that he really wanted to go more outside and meet new people. Maybe even someone he could fall in love with? As of now he only managed to befriend people online. His mom suggested to go to the hospital and see if there was some sort of treatment for it. Therapy? Medicine to control his urge to always wash his hands whenever he touches something he felt is dirty?
So here he was inside the hospital. The thought of so many people inside this building--- not only that but they were sick, too--- made him feel really uneasy. He gripped his bag tightly as he waited for the doctor to finally call him inside his office. Inside his bag he always has sanitary wipes with him. Going to a public toilet was out of the question for him. He tapped his foot impatiently. He wanted to get this over with and go back home as quickly as he could.
