What if a Guardian was resurrected by their Ghost for the first time after who knows how many years, but they weren't originally from anytime after, during, or just before the Golden Age? I think it's implied most Guardians don't remember their past lives, but what if a Guardian originally came from pretty much any century before the 21st century? What if some Guardians were initially from the Victorian Era, or they were Vikings, or they were from some ancient civilization like the Aztecs?
given thats magic space powers, there’s no real reason there needs to be a time limit on ‘dead and Light compatible’. If the Ghost is gonna download some universal language and smarts into you anyhow, then era hardly matters.
But an argument could be made that only the dead who were alive when the Traveler was around even have a chance of being Light compatible. The Astronauts who made first contact walked away utterly changed and they weren’t even Guardians. Its likely the Traveler began to low-key alter humanity just by being around them and, perhaps, only from that pool of dead can the Ghosts rise the Guardians.
Idea - while kicking ass as a Gunslinger Hunter or a Sunsinger Warlock, play "I Burn" from RWBY. (I mean, Yang would clearly be a Titan because fisticuffs, but I picked those two because fire.)

I apologize in advance if this sounds wrong, but - How does one write a character perceived as "sexy" without letting that define their character entirely? Like, giving them multiple facets is obvious, of course, and I wish for that to be the case, but I'm still building the character in my head and I want them to be much more than just a pretty face who is not the romantic interest of the main character. I'd like to know how I can help their development along.
hate to say it but you really do just need to give her more facets. Period. First and foremost. if you’re still starting out then don’t get too hard on yourself because all you’ve got is a character outline. give yourself some time to fill her in and decide how much of that sexy is even important to her character.
And, honestly, if da sexy is a prominent aspect of the character (and there is nothing wrong with that) then probably take a closer look at what you mean by ‘sexy’. sexy is complicated. and if you’re going for a complex character you need to give the sexy the respect it needs.
do you mean she’s promiscuous? flirty? that’s she’s a romantic? that she’s simply physically attractive? charismatic? she could be ace/aro and completely uninterested but people still think she’s sexy. So is it passive sexy or that she DRAWS eyes to her purposely and if so to what end? Was she always this way? Or is it developed? effortless or cultivated? both? weaponized? a big part of her pubic persona or just an incidental piece.
‘sexy’ is not one dimensional. there is nothing wrong with a sexy character but you better deconstruct that sexy and figure what you actually mean when you say it and also how it fits into the whole of the character. Just think about it. :)

What if Destiny met Monster Hunter?

Imagine that an Exo takes a huge liking to animals, and because it's available to them the Exo makes a modification or two to their bodily frame to get like pointy metal wolf-like ears or something, and they're basically a robotic furry but they also don't give a shit what their fireteam thinks of them because screw it, it's rad and it helps them make a name for themself. (Could also be worked into how much the Hunters seem to like wolves and wolf imagery.)
see I started to read your post but my brain derailed at "Exo takes a huge liking to animals" and now I'm just imagining Exos picking up kittens and cuddling them or playing fetch with dogs or just whatever. Sentient killer robots hugging cute fuzzy things. The biggest most giant Exo towering over you with a small animal napping in their fur collar.
I'm not saying Masa likes cats more than humans, but I'm -- nah I'm pretty sure she likes cats better than humans.
So I read your fic "Dead Metal," and I loved imagining the Ghosts with Epsilon's and Sigma's voices! It toyed with my imagination in exactly the right way and I feel compelled to thank you for that. :D (I also like to imagine that the Ghosts' shells are painted with the corresponding Freelancer colors - Epsilon being aqua, Sigma white-with-brown, etc.)
lol I like imagining Carolina gripping Epsilon in a death fist while forcibly painting him blue and hes just like ghost-screeching "I HATE YOUUUUU" and shes just like "lol were gonna match, deal with it"
