Reading: Astoria is always carrying a book on her person, always. It doesn’t really matter who’s it by. Though, she makes sure to keep her muggle books at home, though there are times she has been careless and then has to stuff it into her bag, causing her not to be able to read it in public — causing her to actually socialize properly outside of events. Seeing as she likes to sneak off in parties, even for five measly minutes, and dive into a story ( hoping her sister won’t get into trouble for those few minutes ) carrying a book with her is always needed and practically an extension of her arm. It’s a small outlet that relieves stress and actually helps her forget the turmoil in the world and games Pureblood society events that are needed to be played.
Baking: This outlet came as a shock, a surprise to Astoria. Seeing as she’s always been given what she’s wanted, and really not have had to lift a finger to get it — the fact that she became interested in baking is a recent and surprising development. Of course, she uses magical charms and the like to bake, but there’s a yearning she has to learn how to bake the muggle way. She hasn’t quite mastered the baking charms, and can’t help but feel guilty when she ruins countless soufflés and dishes that come with it. Though, it’s much better than when she’s tried to make Treacle Tart. She won’t even admit to how horrible that went.
Sketching: The best part of going to balls and galas is the intricacy of the dresses that inspires Astoria to sketch her own. She doesn’t really want to make a career out of it, nor is she really expected to make a career out of anything, but it’s calming. Creating something from scratch, creating art is a wonderful outlet for her and helps her do something with her hands. It’s even more enchanting with her magical pencils and quills that practically bring the sketches to life. Her favorite colors are violet, beryl, and teal.
