[...] Anyhow, the story i want to share was at Bulgaria and it was in the winter. I haven’t seen any snow before, and the truth is i am not cold resistant. I am easily get sick when the temperature decreases. So, can you imagine how was my reaction back then?

As i mentioned, in 2014 i took a voluntary work in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was the first time i am going abroad. In fact, Bulgaria is the first country i have ever visited beside my home-country, Indonesia. (Yippee!). Everything is so different yet challenging. I learn how to survive in the non-anglophone country. and the most important thing is; i learn how to survive the brain freezing. Well, not really. haha.

In the second week of my stay, if i am not mistaken, the local Aiesec-ers were having the idea to bring us (international exchange participants) to the festival held in the nearest city. Even tough I haven’t got a clear idea of what kind of festival we will be visiting but decided to go anyway.      

               I love to travel in all kinds and ways, but my favorite it’s when you take your backpack and go. Like in the movie Wild or Into the wild. It’s nothing more beautiful and relaxing than when you wake up by sounds of the birds, you open the tent and you see something so incredibly beautiful that leaves you speechless. Your first step is in the soft and wet grass, the air is so fresh and clean that you can feel it in the way to the lungs. And you know that you never been more alive.

               I can thank  this kind of experience and the love of nature to my father. He taught me everything I know, first of all that nature is our home and not just a place to visit. If I respect nature I respect myself and the future of my children.

                In Bulgaria I made the Rila and Pirin mountains crest trail in 10 days. The country was beyond my expectation, I was amazed by its beauty.
