Wow… Bujold did an excellent job of forcing us to look beneath the mask, with this series, and really think about Human Rights, and about women’s rights, and about even what makes us human. Empathy. And, yes: We can Do Better. Injustice Delenda Est -fka Shira, Destinie Antonia Jones, aka Ni, of ShiraDest publications, and Project Do Better, East, Porto, February, ’25.

This particular book was not as captivating, for me, but then I had to rush through the reading of this one, so it may have been my lack of time to enjoy it that affects my memory of this book several months ago. This book gets a 10/10. Pages of the scanned paperback edition, were a bit off from what the various editions listed online seemed to show, but I was able to read this book easily and freely, thanks to the Open Library. At the start of the book, at which point I had not yet read Brothers in Arms, which comes before it, I worried that it just did not feel right nor make sense, that Miles ‘ clone apparently seemed an identical twin, because Miles’ clone should not look like him, due to the poisoning just before his birth.
