making my own bujo themes is always a risk π¬

Just finished setting up my digital bujo with hyperlinks!Β
I DIYβd it using various online tutorials and I am honestly so excited about the linked pages- they completely change the level of usability of the digital bujo. Seriously this is a must if you use your iPad for planning!
Iβll update at the end of the week with the final result!
3.8.18 //this month I have stuck to the normal layout for my life/mood/habit tracking pages but I've changed up my reflections and goals page. I've hidden my secrets from you all but I love how it turned out πΏππΏ
A Priori
Aka a priority list
I keep. On. Taking on. Too. Much. Stuff. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.
So in the interests of getting really basic: what do I want to do with the next, say, year?
- tackle my mental health
- tackle my physical health
- acquire money to live
- make plans to move to Birmingham
- continue learning Japanese, take JLPT N3
- progress meditation and martial arts training
That's...Well. Put like that, it's not a terribly huge list, is it. Some of the items are big, but I'm not looking to solve them completely, just to *make some progress*.
Physical health:
- I need to do my physio to rebuild the basics of my body. My knees are the biggest problem, followed by shoulders, but the shoulders only go when I eat wrong *and* get super stressed.
- I need to get some aerobic exercise. For the time being, running is off the table, so swimming it is. I wish the buses up the hill to the pool were more frequent but it is what it is. Let's start at 2x/week.
The physio said I can expect some improvement in around 6 weeks, though I have another appointment in 2. I'm going to do a bit of homebrew here but I do absolutely intend to do the exercises she gave me, every say, plus the swimming as recommended. I'll check back in 6 weeks with how that's going, and in the meantime, print off more tracking sheets for it.
Mental health:
-oh boy, I'm in a recursive loop here. I need an ADHD appointment but it's gonna be hard without much money, but getting a job is hard without ADHD medication. Still.
- there's a lot to work on, including getting a therapist, going through my CBT workbook, and doing some DBT stuff.
- I'm not sure what to do here; I'm stuck between focusing on the DBT skill of radical acceptance through meditation and practise, vs continuing with my CBT workbook. Which is made harder because I've misplaced my kindle etc. In the meantime, I suppose it's radical acceptance meditation.
- I'm not sure how often it's feasible to do this, but I'll print off some tracking sheets anyway and see how I manage
Obtain income:
This one is hard and complicated. I've got some options:
- get job
- go on jobseekers until I get job
- continue streaming and hope for the best
- apply for some disability-based benefits
I'm going to chat to ε·ζ° about my streaming options and time management, but my main focus is going to be applying for jobs. I will go on jobseekers when but not before I have some paperwork from the doctor about my illnesses/disabilities. For now, all I have to do is put in the edits suggested by BB, and then begin applying for jobs. If I do at least one daily it will add up.
Make Plans To Move To Birmingham:
- fortunately, this one can be safely ignored until January 2019
Learning Japanese:
This one honestly is happily bumbling along on the back burner. I'm not going to get there fast but within a year I'll be nearly done with WaniKani, have progressed through a ton more sentences, and have finished a good few books. This will hopefully put me in good place to sit the N2 in December 2019 - except wait, N2? Well, I could probably sit the N3 this December if I switched up my studies specifically to N3 material, but I'm less interested in passing tests than learning the language, and frankly the JLPT system teaches you vocabulary and kanji in a really weird order. You learn to talk about complex job related stuff before you learn everyday words every 2 year old knows.
- I haven't decided what to do about this yet. For now I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing.
Progress meditation and martial arts:
- I've been struggling here because I JUST went to BJJ and loved it, but sadly my knees and shoulders screwed up again. Will revisit at next physio appointment.
- I'd like to go to tai chi too but the atmosphere is a little uncomfortable? Maybe? Plus, my knees. Another thing to revisit in 2 weeks.
- I'm honestly not sure what to do about meditation. I know I want to, but I seem to always be running out of time, I suppose because I'm not prioritising it. I think perhaps I will keep a chart and do it as often ands I can, counting every session as a victory, rather than saying "I will do this daily!" And then fail.
- also there's so many different kinds of meditation for accomplishing different goals. Which is where I get stuck in whether to focus on mental health stuff or personal development stuff - do I try to learn radical acceptance via meditation? Idk.
- I'm going to do some divination about this and see what I come up with.
