I normally don't like "wear it right" posts. But this one, for me, is about intention. Hijab CAN be used to express yourself! But make sure you are wearing it for the right intentions, not to look pretty or because people expect it of you - wear it for Allah subhana w ta'ala, because He wishes the best for you and because He wanted to set you apart. Make sure you aren't wearing it as the unbelieving women wore their khimur during the time of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi w salaam (many prostitutes wore theirs long and loose behind them, meant to entice men, which is why Allah subhana w ta'ala said to bring our khimur forward, to cover the ears and the chest). And most of all - don't let people get you down for how you wear your hijab or how your full hijab (e.g. your full outfit and behaviour is) - if you are covering with right intention, to be modest and please Allah subhana w ta'ala, then your full hijab will evolve as your Imaan does. Be strong, akhiwati. Don't let the judgement of those in the Ummah get you down. Only Allah subhana w ta'ala can judge, and He is the best of Judges. May He strengthen you and your Imaan and may al-Fattah open your hearts to let Him in that you may better serve Him. Ameen.
