Paradise was everything that Luis could ask for and more. Warm, bright golden sunshine shone down on him, warming him to his core as well as boosting his mood. There were trees and so much green that it was almost overwhelming. Ever since he had gotten his memories back, he had been plagued by nightmares of the rotten, scarred and scorched world that they had left behind for their little island paradise. He often times woke screaming in his sleep alone among thin, soft blankets in one of the small homes that had previously been built by WICKED's foresight into this project.
There were so many different things that held heavy in the teenager's heart and it made him ache with longing for so many different things-- his parents, the world he wished that he knew, his sister, the sound of his real name on someone else's lips. God, Amelia, he was overridden with guilt about her death. If there was one person in this world that Luis had loved more than life itself, it had been his baby sister. She had been apart of group B, but had not been immune and had succumbed to the Flare. He wished he could show her how beautiful it really was, how amazing and fresh. He had made a promise to appreciate things more because of her death, because she would be unable to do so; he would just have to do it for her.
Luis was energized albeit a little sweaty from the morning's work. Just because WICKED had set them up with a very good starting point didn't mean that all the work had been completed by the time they had gotten here. The teenager made his way through a group of people so that he could get a drink of water when he noticed a familiar face. A face that he thought he would never see again. Gally. His Keeper and friend from back within the Maze. Quickly forgetting his water break, Luis makes his way over with a renewed vigor and a sparkle in his eye, lips curling up into a wide grin.
"Gally! Mi amigo! It's me, Luis!"
