I just realised something. I'm a centipede Kai truther all day, everyday. And I realised something that I learned a while ago about centipedes. Basically their first body segment (right behind the head) doesn't have proper let's that help them move around. Those legs are called forcipules (or poison claws) these forcipules are very strong and sharp and used to stab prey and inject it's venom.
So hear me out. Centipede Kai who's finger tips turn black and hard and slightly longer and clawed. Only after the second knuckle. He has trouble bending his fingers completely because the last knuckle is covered/hindered by the claws. His claws also get venom in them that is like super poisonous to people.
Either that or his fingers remain normal and human and just his thumbs turn into these poison claws and his thumbs are just curved but can still move on the double joint.
I feel like he wouldn't know about the venom thing until he accidentally kills something or harms someone. That would cause his to clip them at least once then he realized too late that it's very painful to do that and just never did that again. Imagine something similar to declawing a cat. It hindered him too much and never did it again (Nya got him claw caps as a joke after they grow back. The growth took months)

A bit of my personal hc on how Phantom got his best known nickname :3
Phantom is called "bug" for a reason. The first time he got to go outside, they were so enthralled with all the little insects they saw skittering around on the bricks of Primo's garden. The little black ants marching along in a line, the bumble bees gathering their pollen in the folds of the flower petals. From that point on, he wanted to learn all he could about every kind of bug he could spy. They demanded Mountain to show them all the books he knew of that were about bugs in the Ministry library. He couldn't get enough, reading about any and every kind of bug in the books. The pack noticed their fascination, finding it endearing that a the little new summon had found something that interested them so much. As he got more comfortable with his new topside pack, he started telling them about all that he had been learning and reading about, giving them bug facts every other sentence. He became the packs buggy, their loveable goofball who's knows all there is to know about crawly critters.

- he’s a super affectionate and cuddly boy
- hugs and head rubs and kneading and playing with horns and tails whenever he’s relaxing

- people always go to him when they need a little comfort
- definitely considers everyone’s comfort with physical affection and makes sure they’re okay with it
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
- he’s such a sweet and thoughtful boy, one of the best friends you can have tbh
- his love language is physical touch, and he’s always showing his friends affection in whatever way he’s able
- super supportive, always compliments his friends and band mates
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
- phantom is such a cuddly ghoul, and is well known for being clingy
- he loves to lay in the ghoul pile whenever he can, and often initiates them
- he is a nuzzler through and through
- favorite place to cuddle is between dew and rain, or laying on mounty’s chest
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
- phantom is a young ghoul, and not the best when it comes to domestic skills. he’s enthusiastic about learning and always wants to help out tho!
- he’s good at making pasta and toast, but he’s also definitely capable of burning water somehow
- accidentally cleans with the wrong stuff all the time, once created a noxious gas mixture by accident and passed out
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
- phantom is a sweet boy, and he treats his friends, partners and bandmates with kindness and respect
- is very understanding and a great listener
- like i said, most of the ghouls turn to him when they need a little comfort or a great hug
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
- as previously mentioned, bug is definitely a hugger
- always gives hugs after rituals, before bed, when saying hello or goodbye
- he just wants to show his love, affection and appreciation through physical touch
- he’s a tight hugger too, and sometimes just wraps himself around swiss, aether or mountain like a little koala
- dew loves his hugs and often goes in for one first, although he won’t ever admit it
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
- bug is filled with so much love it oozes out of him
- he tells his band mates, partners, and friends he loves them all the time, either platonically or romantically
- he’s easy to love and love comes easily to him - all the other ghouls love him dearly
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
- he’s not a super jealous guy, and is always down to share
- he does get a little jealous when rain and dew are cuddling and don’t immediately invite him though 😂
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
- sweet, soft, gentle boy
- forehead kisses, quick pecks, and kisses on the top of the head or all over your/the other’s face(s)
- partial to soft and slow makeouts, but when he’s gets in the zone he is super into it and gets pretty intense with it
- likes to be kissed anywhere and everywhere, but is also super ticklish
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
- phantom is young and silly goofy almost always, and a very sweet boy
- aka he’s great with the kits
- loves to play games with them, do puzzles, play tag and hide and seek - he’s down for almost anything tbh
- great at comforting the kits when they’re upset or getting them to bed, all of them ask him to read them stories often
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
- he’s not necessarily a morning person or a night owl, so it really depends on the day or how he slept
- typically has a lot of energy, sometimes it’s too much for the other ghouls (aka dew) when he’s super peppy before they’ve had their morning coffee
- enjoys eating breakfast with his band mates/hates eating it alone
- is a fiend for energy drinks (lus has limited him to one a day because it makes him even more hyper than normal)
- can’t drink black coffee, needs to put a shit ton of sugar and milk in it (mountain is horrified at the amount sometimes)
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
- eepy boy
- falls asleep almost immediately upon putting his head on the pillow
- gets the zoomies before bed
- if he’s overtired he gets even sillier
- very cuddly and affectionate before bed, loves to join rain and dew when they go to sleep
- likes to watch silly tik toks before going to sleep
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
- for some things he’s an open book
- is pretty good at communicating his feelings and opening up to people he’s close with
- chronic over sharer
- although, it is hard to get him to be honest when he’s upset over something or feeling insecure. he doesn’t like to come across as needy and is very afraid of rejection, being judged, or having his worst fears and insecurities confirmed by someone he cares about (which never actually happens)
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
- he’s pretty calm and rarely gets angry
- really good at calming the others down (even with dew)
- a sweet boy that can’t stay mad at anyone
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
- as i’ve already said, he’s a sweet and thoughtful guy
- remembers everyone’s favorite things (food, drinks, colors, tv shows, etc.)
- is hella forgetful of other things (meeting times, appointments, when he’s supposed to be at mass), but when it comes to the important stuff and/or basic likes and dislikes of his friends he never forgets
- often shocks his bandmates with how much he remembers about them
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
- anytime someone tells him they love or appreciate him (platonically and romantically) makes him so happy
- he loves when the others or partners initiate physical contact, remember something about him, do something kind, or get him a thoughtful gift
- for example, dew often replenishes his finger tape supply without him having to ask and he’s tickled pink whenever it happens (although dew acts nonchalant about it… when he’s really anything but)
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
- he’s usually in the “protectee” position
- he’s often too sweet and nice for his own good, and has a hard time standing up for himself
- dew has appointed himself bug’s personal guard dog and is LIVID when anyone fucks with his sweet bug (only HE gets to fuck with him)
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
- i’m a broken record at this point, but he’s very thoughtful and sweet
- and as previously mentioned, he remembers everything about his bandmates
- remembers everyone’s birthday, summoning date, etc.
- gives very sweet and thoughtful gifts, often handmade and tailored exclusively to people’s likes or favorite things
- more of a small/thoughtful gift giver, isn’t a huge fan of extravagant or expensive gifts (he doesn’t think it’s as meaningful to just buy something expensive and generic and give it to someone)
- horrible at remembering everyday tasks (often has to write things down on his hand) - lus sometimes puts sticky notes on his forehead or chest to remind him to do certain things
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
- isolates himself when he’s upset or feeling insecure, doesn’t want to be a burden (even though he never is)
- is pretty clumsy and doesn’t look where he’s going 😂

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
- not vain whatsoever, he definitely takes care of himself, but doesn’t really care what he looks like most of the time
- does get insecure here and there, but not because he’s vain (the others always reassure him that he’s adorable to them no matter what he’s wearing or looks like)
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
- he loves with his whole heart and commits fully
- is pretty clingy emotionally as well, so would definitely be sad or feel lonely when he’s not with you or when he’s apart from his pack
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
- lactose intolerant, but eats dairy anyways regardless of the consequences (he loves ice cream too much)
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
- doesn’t like when people are mean or spiteful, for whatever reason. it’s such a foreign concept to him and gives him the ick immediately
- hates when people point out others insecurities, and always makes an effort to compliment others
- is pretty understanding and accepting of everyone’s different personalities, he loves how unique the others are and appreciates their little quirks, even if they don’t completely match his preferences
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
- sleeps in the weirdest positions and moves around a ton
