For the modded medals you might not understand, here are some descriptions.

Hailstorm: At the end of the turn, if any bug is frozen, start a blizzard that deals 3 damage to enemies and may freeze them

Flash Freeze: The equipped bug freezes after being attacked when not at low HP

Thin Ice: When the equipped bug’s ice shatters, heal the other bugs for 1 HP

Basically, the idea of the build was to put Kabbu in the front and let him take a hit. This would freeze him, and begin to proc all the other medal effects. The Hailstorm blizzard effect would always be active, dealing 3 freezing damage to all enemies. When enemies would attack the frozen Kabbu, they would take retaliatory freezing damage, as well as shattering and immediately re-freezing Kabbu, triggering the heal from Thin Ice and setting the loop back up. The poison medals were a way to get an easy, constant source of regen and defence, as were HP Core and Defence Exchange, as it was critical to stay at high health to avoid falling out of Flash Freeze’s freeze range. Of course Bait Hook was also there to make sure that enemies were actually activating all of these effects. Since the medals required on Kabbu are already so expensive, power on a budget was needed, so most of our damage came from Berserker on Leif (though it would likely work just as well on Vi)
