So I just watched Split and while it was a pretty mediocre movie, it really got me thinking. There are quite a few parallels to Silence of the Lambs (for example, as a noteworthy innuendo, the main character’s last name is Crumb - we see the name written by hand and it looks like Gumb). Wouldn’t it be interesting if Fullerverse Buffalo Bill had Dissociative Identity Disorder? It would be a lot less... problematic, to say the least.
I would love to see Will trying to figure it out. Even with his empathy, someone with DID would be a challenge to him. Figuring out that there is more than one personality, getting to know them all. Who did what? Which identities are innocent? Who is working for/against the killer? It’d be quite interesting, and not only for Jame Gumb. Hannibal would probably figure out that it’s a case of DID (because that just seems like a thing he’d know) and he and Will would work together (or maybe against each other, who even knows with these two). Imagine Will Graham getting lost in the multiple personalities of a killer, while he himself is struggling to understand who he is himself...

Brighton, the pier and Sands. Posted Sep. 29 1908 Seascale Postmark.
The message sent to the recipient back in Seascale, West Cumbria; Dear Hannah you missed quite a treate on saturday . We went in the boats to crew Brighten, and there we saw Bofallo Bills Wild West at night we went to the theatre, from a friend not far off, W.G.
Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show was not in Britain apparently at the time of this postcard - the reference is then perhaps to a show put on by one of the many imitators.
