I'd like to think my constant rambling on about the need for more queer characters since I came out has made a positive impact.
which i count myself extremely lucky for since it's something that caused a multitude of arguments between me and my dickwad father before he got his ass the fuck out of our house. acted like suggesting a character he liked was anything but 100% hetero was a personal attack against him... jumped on me in public about it once and harassed me to the point I had an anxiety attack and had to get up from our table and go hide in the bathroom until I could stop crying
